The Geography and Environmental Science disciplines of our school have entered the 101-150 section in 2019 World University Ranking by Subject. Wuhan University has a total of 26 disciplines in the ranking list, including 12 disciplines in the top 150 and 3 disciplines in the top 50 (Mining Engineering ranked 26th, Dentistry ranked 28th, and Library and Information management ranked 47th), having an increase of 6 from last year.

According to the ESI global discipline ranking, 16 disciplines’ publication of Wuhan University position in the top 1%. Among them, SRES published 149 papers as primary authors in 2018 and contributed most in Environmental and Ecology field, social science field, agricultural sciences field, and biology and biochemistry field.
